This thread is here for our forum rules.

Let's keep it simple over here:

Conduct at the forum:

  • You must keep it polite. Do not tell other fellow members what you wouldn't like to be told in person.
  • Do not incur in any offensive content be it to a country, a person or an idea. There is room to criticism, but not for insults.
  • Outside "the pit", you agree to respect these simple conduct rules totally.

Linking:
Sharing roulette & gambling-related links is good and totally acceptable, but in order to prevent abuse from "The usual suspects", the following restrictions are in place:
  • NO live (clickable) links to online casinos. It is ok to share any casino URL as an user to recommend, but it must be done in a non-clickable fashion; this is in place order to deter affiliates from spamming their referral links to online casinos.
  • No clickable links for system selling. It is OK to post the URL, but in a non-clickable form, so the visitor must copy it manually and by that extra step does not feel we are endorsing it, as non-live links are there for a reason.

Product promotion:
Absolutely no threads promoting products other than roulette & gambling-related ones. This is in place as grounds to terminate spammers.

A parenthesis here: In order to make a link non-clickable, you must omit the "http://" and the "www." and post simply it like: Domain.com

Look at the results:

http://google.com/
www.google.com
Google.com

This is very clear Smiley

I would like to add as forum rule that if someone posts in foreign language, being other then English, also add some translation to it in English so that everyone can read it too.

Hi mates,
I agree with Carlitos.  It is very frustrating to see a post and you go to translate it and it comes up a jumbled mass of confusion.  Maybe Victor have the posters who's native language is not English post a translator that will work with there native tongue.  Just a thought.

best regards,

Hi Victor,

What is the penalty for a serious breach of the conduct rules outside of the pit?

                                                      Best regards

Hi Victor,

What is the penalty for a serious breach of the conduct rules outside of the pit?

In the past banning a member after 3 warnings would do, but Pre-moderation happens to be a more elegant solution now.

Pre-moderation = offending member's posts to be screened for approval prior to hitting the public part of the site.

To be implemented this week along with new rules according to what our users decide about our forum's "north", to be polled and decided as a group.

Regards.

Victor

I would like a firm rule on selling.  I'm talking about selling ideas, methods, charts, sheets---anything!  poit posts and then when people pm him, he is selling a methodology.  I have a complaint e-mail.

My philosophy is that selling anything is wrong.  Even if they linked the reader to Ebay and sold it there, they are still using this board as a free means of advertising and I feel that's wrong.  If I had started a forum, as you did, I would take exception to people wanting to make money from my efforts.

I feel if we let this start, we will be swamped with "near spammers" who don't spam directly, but the intention is there.  murph was one.  Xandrew was another.  Then there's the "donation for the sick child down the street" scam.  Make a donation and you'll get my system.

So I deleted poit's post as he is selling something; I don't know what.

Frankly, I don't know what is right in your eyes; only in mine.

Sam

NO selling allowed, not trying to sell allowed. Please remove ASAP such posts you see which are made with this intent dear Sam.

This change to be reflected to the new set of rules and code of conduct to be posted soon.

Regards,
Victor
