Who actually makes money week in week out..

About 2% according to the statistics. This applies for different types of gambling as well. Casino gambling, exchange betting, sports betting. A good starting point would be to find out what the 98% do to continually lose and try and avoid the same mistakes. Some of these could be pretty easy to implement as well.
1) keep records.
2) Have a seperate account for gambling funds.
Admittedly these two alone will not turn anyone into a success overnight but it would be a step in the right direction  towards a more professional approach.
On the top of the list of most semi professional / full time professional players 'good habits' list is DISCIPLINE. It is key. This words pops up more times than any other and it is not some tired old cliche. Without it, nothing else matters. I have not had a losing year at the casino since 2004. This year will be the first year I make a profit from exchange betting. It is all a learning curve and if you can force yourself to cut out all the bad habits that bleed your bankroll dry, maybe the worst that will happen is you break even. Now even that would be better than another year as a fully paid up member of the 98% club.

I went to see the bank yesterday. They told me that they just could not let me deposit more money in their vaults. There just isn't any more place.

Killroy was here!

Very true.

Keep detailed records.  Not just "well, I broke even tonight" type of junk.  If you won $33, note it!   If you got killed because you were jerking around with the cigarette girl instead of paying attention, note it!

Do not mix money.   Keep the separate gambling account and don't screw with it.   It will be obvious if you're winning or losing by the month.

As I track my casino and online times very well, I can tell you exactly how I stand in the last week, month, year or overall and which system plays are working for me.

When you go to the casino, you're not there for entertainment, you're there to take money from them.   Do your job, treat it like a job and it will pay you.

Go in goofing off and haphazardly throwing money all over the table and you'll be looking at a lot of red figures in your gambling spreadsheet.

AD (I get a monthly check from Bet Phoenix, thank you)

Seventy percent of all the people who enter a casino are ahead  during their stay at one time or  another. But ninety percent of those Seventy percent   give it all back.

Something to be considered.  :ok:

Not that it matters Herb6, but what is your credit score?

Mr J

You see how Herb answers questions, hey?  :sarcastic: If I was asks, I would say its private BUT at least I would answer you out of courtesy. You cant get that from Herb. Look at MOST of Herbs posts, very little value.

He won't answer questions.

Rarely does he start a thread or contribute to a thread regarding AP. Thats 'his way' of playing and yet, very few posts.

So whats left? The guy TROLLS around looking to argue, nothing more. If he quit the board tomorrow, what do we really lose out on? Its a serious question, I'm not slamming.  (Oh, oh....watch. Here come the NEWER (lol) members to defend Herb ;)  Ken
