I wondering if it is better to use "strobe" light then an HD camera, as I imagine you will get an more clear view of the ball movement that way and think the same goes for the number ring when you make your own videos to study.

I think Kelly once mention that Basieux use an strobe light.

I'd imagine HD would be much more viewer friendly. Ideally you would want a high speed camera to get the best idea for what it is you plan to observe, but those are pretty PRETTY pricey.

Actually, frames per second is more valuable than high definition. 

Also, you don't need the strobe.

so how much could you actually learn from this?, you can hire cameras by the way
