dual system

Hello everybody,
   I'm new to the forum and new to roulette as well.   I have an idea which has probably been covered already in here somewhere (by players far more experienced and knowledgable than I): is it possible to play a martingale and a reverse martingale simultaneously?  I'm thinking that with the proper progressions and stop-limits one would be able to profit with or without long runs.   Any ideas?
