Learning how to read randomness.

Now that I have had a few students I have discovered that I enjoy teaching it. I started out wanting ten students. I'm convinced that it is much harder to teach than I originally thought it would. It's very hard to show so many possibilities. These are things that I often take for granted. This steep learning curve is never going to end up being an easily acquired skill. I'm convinced that I could probably teach a great deal of it in the wide open. It's like those that thought they could win at Blackjack just by working a few days on counting cards. There will be experts with this and there will be losers that don't understand it all.

So I might be able to teach basic reading randomness and to freely share my practice software. I just won't teach how to use reading randomness. I'll just charge $50 per hour for private advanced training. So with this hash function idea presented by Bayes yesterday I think I'll add this hash function to my software. You will be able to use my software to demonstrate and discuss characteristics. With all that there is involved in training it might make good sense to get people off on the right track. It's OK to prove it works. It's OK to discuss the basic concepts.

I'll need to get my internet connection back up to full speed before I can get the improved software going. Stay tuned. This might make a great experiment in studying human nature, defense mechanisms, and skepticism.

From what I've heard thru the grapevine about what you've already 'taught', I'd be better off sticking $50 an hour in a slot machine, at least I'd have a small chance of making money, rather than no chance at all with you..

Actually its a cut in price. It takes a while to teach reading randomness. I teach the concept and then go over the characteristics. It took me years to develop this for myself. Yet it gets discussed in 10 to 20 hours of discussion. Every student has demonstrated moments that they just didn't see some types of trends. So trends themselves represent a lot of work.

But seeing all the trends is not the complete story. Knowing how to take advantage is the real lesson. If I don't have to teach the reading randomness stuff then that just leaves the how to use it to your advantage stuff. I can teach the basic of that in one to two hours. If a student wants to get tutoring beyond that then they can add a few hours. Still, it makes it far easier on me. And it gets to the most interesting part of the training. So it could be $50 to $100. That's really a price cut where I spend less time walking students through the very basics.

You should know. You are going to be about as hot air as a fresh cut cheese soon enough. And that's good too. When I get things ready to go you should come back and enjoy watching the world change before your eyes. This is perfect. My internet access is going off line for about three weeks. Now turn that into more sophistry. You can't understand how it could happen but you have no problem explaining it. So have a blast while I'm down. The bears and wolves will eat you later.
