It doesn´t matter how many $ or Pounds or Euros you win,

The only thing is how many units you win.

True, but it is nonetheless interesting to hear what cash fellow members are winning also.

As for me, I've stopped betting real cash for a little while. I'll be betting for real again in 2009, or as soon as my attack plan is complete.

everybody is winning, i wonder where the billions the casinos are making is coming from. i win sometimes but the losses would be greater then the winnings. if you are winning like that let yourself go and see if you can win a fortune. good punting.

TwoCatSam

I lost a thousand.

OK, which one of you birds has it?

Not everyone is winning.

Few wins. Thousands loose.
Only winning stories are published. Because that's what casinos want to see.

Congrats, to everyone who are winning.!

I know, when you make 0 - 50 you can make 250 also. This is just to see if we have players who play for real and are winning average. And it's good too see players are.

Gots to disagree with you on that 250 thing.

I am speaking for me, but I've read this countless places.  When you're betting a dollar, you're cool and collected.  Hey, you're on a losing streak and down $10.  Big deal!  Now bet hundreds......and.....OH, MY GOD!...you're down a thousand.

Been there, done that; can speak from true experience!

I personally can't think when these things happen.  My brain goes out in the yard and plays with the dog!

Disagree with you on that Sam. When you play properly. Start with dollars and with proper money management you built up to play 2 dollars etc.etc. It only take a lot of time. Most people just don't have the patience to built up a big bankroll.

I'll buy that!  When you climb the ladder, your confidence goes with you.  I was speaking of people who win at the $1 level and jump to the $100 level hoping to win there, too.  Some might.  I doubt it.

That just won't work. When you decide to go from 1 -> 2. And you play with 4 bankrolls. You need to have built at least 2 bankrolls for 2 bets and, have 4 bankrolls of 1 to fall back on when you loose. At least, when I speak in terms of myself.

Matt has proven it can be done. Are we next?

The only way to keep score is by dollars, especially if you are comparing it to % of your bankroll and/or buy-in.

If I am playing the 25-cent slots and I win 10 units that's a lousy $2.50.  At a $5 table that's only $50.  Tip change.

If all you do is play Bac or whatever then I suppose "units" are the way to go, especially if your unit is $100.  But when you spend 4 days casino hopping and play many table games and slot machines across multiple casinos you have to add it all up at the end to see how much you have after subtracting expenses and then determine if the trip was worth it.  That requires dollars and not units, per se.

Wow Talesman, 114$ per session in 2009... no wonder your winning... you can see into the future!  lol.

Sorry, don't get your reference about seeing into the future.

I suppose it is a slam but I don't get it.

Just a joke bud... it's 2008, not 2009.

Here we have to areas of psychology I'd like to address.  When Matty posted, I saw immediately what he was talking about.  Sometimes our minds just don't see what's directly in front of us.  Someone can say, "Read your sentence." and the writer will read it a dozen times and not see the obvious.  Then when someone puts a finger on it, it jumps off the page and the writer has an "Ah ha!" moment!

How many of you saw what Matty was talking about?  Probably most did.

But the second and larger issue is the sentence, "I suppose it is a slam but I don't get it."  This is the result of a persecution complex where the "victim" sees everything as an attack.  Why?  Because he expects every person's motive to be the same as his would be.  If he is a thief, everyone is a thief.  If he is a liar, everyone is a liar.  If he badmouths people behind their back, he knows people are badmouthing him behind his back!

In this case, the "victim", Talesman, is projecting his image onto Matt.  Talesman jumps on every occasion to put someone down and he sees Matt's post as a put down, a "slam".  Talesman cannot understand there are people who make good natured comments about silly mistakes.

Matt does not put people down.  Yesterday he posted a tutorial on how to use Excel.  He posted a system was going great and then he said "hold the phone"...it's tanking.  Some leave you with the impression they just drift off into the sunset winning like a banshee.

I relate to you an old homily.  It's worth the read:

Old codger running a gas station.  Guy stops for gas and says, "I'm moving to Podunk up ahead.  What are the people like?", he ask the man.
"What where they like where you come from?, ask the old geezer.
"Lousiest people on the planet!"
"Hate to tell you this," the attendant said, "But they're just the same up ahead."

Another car......

"What are people like in Podunk?"
What where they like where you came from?"
"Oh, they were wonderful.  I hated to leave!  I actually cried."
"They're the same in Podunk." said the old fart with a chuckle.

Since I used no bad words I did not put this in the pit.  Lanky, Victor, if you choose, do so.
