On another forum a member whose nickname is gr8player has posted some of his tactics to play the game of baccarat.

***

Let's all have a GR8 CHRISTMAS:

NUMBER 1:
While I do treat each shoe as a separate entity, I do look for certain "table traits". For example:

If in shoe #1, I see a 3-to-1 ratio of, say, singles vs. series, I will look for the "beginnings" of that ratio to start "balancing out".

So, if there were 21 "doubles" (or runs) as opposed to 6 singles, I will be aware that this shoe might be more inclined to produce singles.

Now, at the first sign of a couple of singles, I'll play it this way:

One unit "anti" ..... if that bet loses ..... I'll then bet 2 units still on the "anti" (or switch) ..... if that bet loses ...... again 2 units on "anti" ...... if that bet loses, no bet.

On any single, I win one unit.
On any double, I win one unit.
On any triple, I lose one unit.
On any four-bagger, I lose 5 units.

The "four-baggers", obviously, will hurt. That's why I only play this method AFTER it's been well-qualified. Which means only after a "disproportionate appearance of longer series", or runs. And, even then, only after the appearance of a couple of singles. If I've got a good sense that this game is about to get "choppy", this method will serve me very well.

NUMBER 2:
I look for "trends within trends". I'll give you an example:

On the Players side, you see something like this:

PPP PP PPPP P PP PPP PP P (these are just Player decisions, obviously there were Bankers hands in-between these, but we're just looking at Player for this example)

Do you notice that while the Player "doubles" are dominate, they are stopping at three? (Not the runs, the "doubles" are limited to 3 appearances......do you see that?)

That's a "simplified" example of "trends within trends" or "measuring" trends. I will play for the "repeating double" on the Player's side in that above example, but will "no-bet" it after the 3rd occurence, because it hasn't gone past 3 doubles as of yet. (Note: I "no-bet" it because it's still a "dominant trends" in that example because single P's are limited to only one.......I'm sure you guys noticed that, as well. So, rather than "bet against" a dominant, I'll simply no-bet after the 3 "P doubles".)

There are many examples of "trends within trends", here's another:

NUMBER 3:
The "opposite run". I've made more money on this trend than I could count. Here's an example of an opoosite run:

Just using B this time: B BBB B BB B BBBB......

Do you see it? Bank is alternating between singling and doubling (or running). A very powerful trend that virtually nobody knows how to play.

Another example of "opposite run", and just as strong:

BB PPP BB PP B P B PP BBBBBBBBBBB......

Do you see it? After a single B, I'll look for a potential run of B's, especially if P also is not in "running mode". In other words, I look for a potential run to break out from the singles. Of course, I'm not betting it blindly from the beginning, and would wait in the above example after the B-run to get to 3 before I'll bet for it. (You see where the longest B-run thusfar has only been to 2.)

NUMBER 4:
Hitting the "3-hole" or "4-hole". That works like this:

PPPP PPP PPP PPPP.......

In the above example, where I'm showing only the Players decisions and simply omitted the B decisions, can you see where the Player decisions have consistently "ran to" the 3-hole? In this case, I would continue to bet for the 3rd hit of a P after it has doubled. As a matter of fact, in the above example, I'd probably bet for the 2-hole (or double) and parlay the win for the three-hole play. A very strong play that will pick up 3 units when one side (or both) are "running". You don't need a run to go the 12 to make money. In the above example, I'm making money on runs of only 3.

NUMBER 5:
The "anti" bet. Here's an example:

BBB P BB PP BBB PPPPPP BBB....

Do you see it? The Banker's side has been "capped" at runs of 3 only, and I'd be betting Player at soon as Bank hits the next 3-run. That appears to be the max run on B, as of now. I've seen full shoes where one side or the other didn't run past 3, and made a few units betting "anti" every time it got to the 3-hole.

NUMBER 6:
The DOMINATION.
By far and away, this is MY FAVORITE TREND.

What's a domination.....P-dom, B-dom......you've all read about my making money with these for a long time. Here's an example:

BBBB P BB P BBBBB PP BBBBB.....

Do you see it? Banker is "dominating" Player by about 4-to-1. I'll bet for Banker and continue to do so until the domination breaks, which usually is indicated by 3 consecutive decisions on the other side. How do I know when a dom is about to start. Well, it's not an exact science, but I will tell you what I look for. I look for "repeats" (even short runs, as long as it's a run) and then it is "interrupted" by only one loss, and then goes right on repeating again. All we're looking to do here is catch the "hot horse" and ride it for all it's worth while it's running. You will see dominations alot once you're geared to look for them. Sidenote: A "dom" is always best to spot in "recovery mode", because it can get you "out" really quick. Be prepared to play the "dom".

Guys, it's all about having an "arsenal" of proven plays (plays that work for YOU) and the patience and discipline to await them and bet them.

Remember, even when the trend breaks, you lose but one unit. But, if it were to get some "legs", you can pick up a few units easily.

And that is my hope for all of you. To "pick up a few units" each and every time you sit down to play. On a consistent basis. To win more than you lose. Long-term. Oh, and
