Winning. Ahhh, the easy part.....

OK, I addressed the losing in thread I started just prior to this one. I assume we all agree that it is paramount to limit our losses as best we can by setting (and keeping) conservative loss limits, especially when in the midst of one of THOSE sessions. (You know, THOSE sessions where everything you touch turns to S**T.....salt, yeah, right, salt)

Back to WINNING:

Bet Selection. Get confident and comfortable with a bet selection and STICK TO IT. That, my friends, is a MUST. Trust me on this one, folks. It's a MUST. Why? Because you can't move on to the next part without it.....

Variance. There's THAT word again. Sorry, can't win CONSISTANTLY without knowing it. And, there's TWO variances. Your bet selection has a variance, learn it. Master it. You carry a PERSONAL variance. Learn it. Master it. Why? Because you can't move on to the next part without it.....

Session Progression. After you've got your set bet selection and you know it's variance, and your own variance, now comes the "Grail" portion of our program. A session progression. Both up and down. Something like "Project 202", which uses a perecentage calculation that both increases or decreases your next session's bets based upon your prior session's capital increase or capital decrease. You would lower your base bet for the next session if you won your last session, or otherwise raise your base bet if the last session was a losing one. IMHO, it is a conservative progression that would serve one well over the LONG-TERM. Why do I like this Progression? It's the only one I've ever seen that takes into account your VARIANCE. And, it moves ONLY in separate and distinct sessions. I like that. I feel it has an "intelligence" to it. Up a bit after a losing session, because, after all, you WILL WIN sometime, won't you? Down a bit after a winning session, because you simply CAN'T win 'em all, can you?

Now, in reality, even though I make light of it in this post, winning is hard work. If, by winning, we mean LONG-TERM. It takes a commitment on our part, and an unyielding desire to succeed. But, it CAN be done. It can.
